Europe: one region, in Ireland, and what it is for
The europe region is an egress node in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland) with a stable Elastic IP, verified serving real fetches. One region — not a country picker — and this page is precise about what that does and does not get you.
What we do not offer
No per-country selection within Europe: a fetch through the europe region exits from Ireland, not from Germany, France or wherever the target's audience lives. No residential or mobile addresses either. The earlier version of this page sold city-level European targeting across dozens of countries; it did not exist.
What an Irish exit gets you
An EU-resident address. Targets that gate on EU membership — EU-priced catalogues, EU-only content, services that refuse non-EU traffic — see a request from inside the union. Content that varies by continent renders the European variant.
It also gives you continental locality: European targets answer an Irish exit noticeably faster than one in Virginia, which adds up across a large crawl.
What it does not get you
Country-specific content inside Europe. A German retailer that shows German prices to German addresses shows an Irish address its Irish or generic-EU variant. If your measurement depends on being seen as a specific member state, one Irish exit cannot provide that, and we say so here rather than let you find out in your data.
GDPR compliance is also not something a proxy location can grant: where your traffic exits does not change your obligations for the data you collect. Our own commitments are in the Privacy Policy; what you collect through us is governed by yours.
Verify, do not assume
GET /v2/proxy/regions is the live, health-gated list. Every response carries region_used — the region that actually served, including on failover — and public_ip, the address the target saw. If EU residency matters to a fetch, assert region_used is europe rather than trusting the request parameter.
Questions
- Can I exit from a specific European country?
- No. Europe is one region and its node is in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1). Requests exit with an Irish datacenter address.
- Will more European regions be added?
- Adding one is a scripted provision and deploy, so it is a question of demand. If your workload needs a second EU exit or a specific country, email support@roamingproxy.com and we will answer honestly about whether and when.
